How AI TaxPilot uses cookies and similar technologies
Aicountant Ltd (trading as AI TaxPilot) Version 1.0 — Effective 01 May 2026
1. About this notice
This Cookie Notice explains how Aicountant Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), trading as AI TaxPilot, uses cookies and similar technologies on https://www.aitaxpilot.com and within the AI TaxPilot application (the "Service"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy. Aicountant Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 17193613 with its registered office at 61 Bridge Street, Kington, United Kingdom, HR5 3DJ.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device when you visit. They let the site remember your actions and preferences (such as login state, language, or screen size) over a period of time so that you do not have to re-enter them on every page. We also use "similar technologies" — for example local storage, session storage and pixel tags — which work in a comparable way. In this notice the term "cookies" covers all of these.
3. Our legal basis
We use cookies under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) and the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Strictly necessary cookies are set without consent because they are required for the Service to work. All other cookies are set only after you give us consent through our cookie banner. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time through the "Cookie Settings" link in the website footer.
4. Categories of cookies we use
4.1 Strictly necessary
Required for core functions such as logging you in, keeping you signed in, balancing load across our servers, remembering items you have entered, and preventing fraud. The Service cannot work properly without these and they cannot be switched off through the cookie banner.
4.2 Functional / preference
Remember choices you make (such as language, region, or display preferences) so we can give you a more personalised experience. Set only with your consent.
4.3 Analytics / performance
Help us understand how users interact with the Service so we can improve it. We do not currently use third-party advertising analytics. If we add a product analytics tool in the future we will update this notice and ask for your consent before any non-essential analytics cookies are set.
4.4 Marketing
We do not use third-party advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If this ever changes we will update this notice and obtain consent before setting any such cookies.
5. Cookies we currently use
The table below lists the cookies the Service is expected to set. Specific names and lifetimes may vary as we update our infrastructure; the live list is always available from the "Cookie Settings" link on the website.

If we add product analytics (for example Plausible, Microsoft Clarity, or Google Analytics) we will list each cookie here together with its provider, purpose, category, and lifetime, and we will ask for your consent before any such cookie is set.
6. Third-party cookies
When you visit a payment page, our payment processor Stripe may set its own strictly necessary cookies for fraud prevention. Stripe is the data controller for those cookies; their cookie information is published at stripe.com/cookie-settings.
We do not embed social media "like" buttons, advertising pixels, or third-party trackers on our website.
7. How to manage cookies
- Use the "Cookie Settings" link in the website footer to change or withdraw your consent at any time.
- Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through the browser's privacy settings — see your browser's help pages for instructions.
- Blocking strictly necessary cookies will stop the Service from working properly.
- You can also use private/incognito browsing to limit cookies to a single session.
8. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" signal. There is no agreed industry standard for how websites must respond. Because we already use only strictly necessary cookies by default and seek consent for anything else, we treat the cookie banner as the primary way to record your preferences.
9. Changes to this notice
We may update this Cookie Notice from time to time. The most recent version is always published on our website with a new effective date. Where changes are material we will refresh the cookie banner so you can review and re-consent.
